About This Book

This textbook was written for a second-year university applied statistics course. It is comprehensive in that it deals with t-tests, analysis of variance (with and without blocking, and including contrasts), regression (simple and polynomial) and analysis of covariance. The authors' practical experience means that the mathematical theory is blended with its application to interesting, real-life data sets. The geometry of these methods means that computing can be simply carried out using the "regression" command of Minitab. Explains the traditional tools of statistics, analysis of variance and regression, in their natural mathematical setting, the geometry of finite dimensions.
